Elena comes from Kazakhstan and has a German passport. Her friend Ashwani comes from India. They live in Saarbrücken-Dudweiler and have common children, a 14-year-old daughter and an 8-year-old son.
Elena wants to split up, the neighbours say later.
On August 28, 2017 Ashwani stabbed his girlfriend with 10 stitches in her apartment. The 8-year-old son is an eyewitness. Elena drags herself to the door, collapses dead on the street. The perpetrator stabs himself in the stomach with a knife, but is rescued by an emergency operation and arrested the next day. The elder daughter is at the scene of the crime with Grandma.
In February 2018 the trial before the Saarbrücken Regional Court begins. The perpetrator appears with a note in front of his face "I love my children". His profession is indicated with pizza baker and unemployed. In April he is sentenced to 11 years in prison for manslaughter. One more comment: If the mother was 28 when she died and the daughter was 14, the mother would have had her first child at the age of 14.
