Ala is an asylum seeker from Ethiopia and lives in Neuendettelsau in Middle Franconia. Mohammed is also an asylum seeker, also from Ethiopia and lives in Nuremberg.
On May 9, 2017, he stabbed Ala in the middle of the street. As she lies on the ground, he continues to stab her. A passerby walks with a bag in between and can stop the perpetrator.
The offender is arrested, the knife confiscated. Ala is operated on and is still in mortal danger 2 days later. The unborn child dies.
The victim and perpetrator were probably a couple, but came to Germany separately. More is not known. Ala is not the real name of the woman.
