Dzemila comes from Serbia and has 3 school-age children. The two older ones are from a previous relationship, The youngest son is from her boyfriend Hamo. He is violent. She wants to separate.

Hamo does not accept this and stabs Dzemila on 20 December 2017 in her apartment in Berlin-Buch. The sons are not in the apartment at the time of the crime. Then he goes to the police. Dzemila's body is found.
