Faizah and Amjad marry Islamic in July 2016. Domestic violence occurs. Less than a year later Faizah wants to separate, which he does not accept. On 14 June 2017 Amjad lurks in front of his ex-girlfriend's supermarket in Bergisches Land near Cologne. He stabbed her and his son. Eyewitnesses call the police. Mother and son arrive in the hospital seriously injured.

The perpetrator flees, but is arrested shortly afterwards. The Kölner Express claims that the name Faizah has changed. It is also possible that she is 10 years younger than stated in the report.

In November the trial for attempted manslaughter begins at the Regional Court of Cologne.
