One can read this case as a revenge killing for insults or as a jealousy drama. Or as an honour killing.

In the beginning there is a dispute between 2 extended families. At the end Salah stabs his neighbour and alleged rival from Erkrath 33 times. It's about insults, jealousy and masculine honor.

The perpetrator turns himself in to the police, the victim is flown to the emergency hospital in Duisburg and dies.

In March 2017, the manslaughter case starts at the court of Wuppertal. The words honor and respect are often used. The day before the crime, Salah's wife and children had moved out of the apartment - probably because he had beaten them. Salah suspects that his neighbour is having an affair with her. The real name of the victim is not known.

The process takes place under stricter safety measures. In April Salah is sentenced to 12 years and 6 months imprisonment for manslaughter.
