In Arnhem, a city in the eastern part of the Netherlands, a woman was stabbed to death by her husband on Thursday evening 18 August 2022. Neighbors say they heard the couple's two young children screaming loudly. The family would have fled from Syria 5 or 6 years ago because of the war.
The man was immediately arrested. According to the police it is an incident in the relational sphere, so they are very reticent in sharing details.
The children are placed in the care of the Youth Protection Agency.
