Utrecht District Court ruled in favour of R. Geissen: his report was wrongly refused by the Utrecht police

Narges Achikzei, who was set on fire, and her boyfriend had a heated conflict with the woman's 32-year-old former employer in Utrecht. The family is associated with fraudulent practices. In any case, they were accused by an aggrieved man. He himself was summoned to a court one week after the fire murder in connection with the slander. For a long time he is said to have sent e-mails to the woman - an ex-worker - and damaged her honour and good name.

It is very likely that this conflict played a role in the cruel death. The public prosecutor's office never wants to answer questions about the content of the legal conflict. It is clear that the conflict exerted great pressure on Achikzei and other participants.

Dear Mr. Geissen,

As a result of our conversation this morning, I confirm to you by this letter the progress we have agreed on the handling of your complaint.

At the hearing of the judge on 27 May, you handed over documents to the judge. These documents related to your defence in a criminal case brought against you as a result of a report.

The decision of the judge in this case is important for the report you want to make. We have agreed that the handling of your complaint – the refusal to file a report – will be postponed until such time as you report to me with the written decision that will probably be made in public on 10 June 2009. On the basis of this judgment, it can be assessed whether, and if so on which grounds and/or which offences, a report can be made.

In connection with the complaint period, I would ask you to contact me at least between 6 and 27 July 2009 by telephone.

With kind regards,

H.A. Hofmann
