Children: 2 (16 and 24 years)
Perpetrator: her husband Levent K., divorced from her husband (47 years)
On 12 June 2015, Levent is lurking in front of his divorced wife's house, pouring a flammable liquid over her and trying to set her on fire. The 16-year-old son prevents the deed. Levent flees and is later arrested near the crime scene.
At the beginning of 2016, attempted murder will be tried in the regional court of Landau. Levent claims that he only wanted to frighten his wife because he did not accept her divorce and wanted to prevent it.
The 24-year-old daughter reports in court serious threats from her father against her mother. This included the threat to mutilate her with acid.
In February 2016, for attempted manslaughter, Levent was sentenced to 7 years and 6 months in prison. The statement of reasons states that the defendant indeed had the murder of his wife in mind. Everything else is a claim of protection. The verdict corresponds to the demands of the Public Prosecution Service.
Meral is not the real name of the woman.
