Sinem A. and an unborn child
born: 1991
stabbed to death: 4 April 2016
Location: Donzdorf (Baden-Württemberg)
Origin: Turkey
Children: 3 sons (3, 4, 6 years, she is pregnant again)
Perpetrator: her former partner Turgut P. (37 years)
With 25 years Sinem has 3 sons with the 12 years older Turgut who works in a supermarket. In December 2015 she gets divorced and Turgut moves out of the communal apartment. There had been reports of violence before. Sinem is pregnant again, possibly from another man she wants to marry.

Turgut does not want to accept the divorce and is looking for his ex-girlfriend on the street in Donzdorf near Göppingen on 4 April 2016. Sinem tries to save herself in a butcher's shop. In front of the children he stabs her with 21 stitches.

The perpetrator flees, but is arrested in the neighbourhood. The murder weapon has been confiscated. The children first go to a friend of the mother's.

Turgut has been reported several times because of personal injury. He has a restraining order. On Sunday he had threatened Sinem. He then goes into police custody until about 11 o'clock in the evening. The next morning he stabbed his ex-girlfriend.

The court of Ulm sentences Turgut to life imprisonment for murder in combination with abortion. The particular seriousness of the guilt is determined. It is said that the Turkish mother of the perpetrator has repeatedly urged him to commit the murder. The children are sent to a home and can later be sent to their grandfather.
