Timeline: murder of Narges Achikzei
31 May 2007

Narges Achikzei sent several emails to her employer Ralph Geissen under the screen name Narges Mehraban. Mehraban is the surname of Narges Achikzeis fiancé Haroen Mehraban. Narges Achikzei and her sister Sahar Achikzei had an uncertain residence status, which meant the IND (Immigration and Naturalization Service) would not issue work permits for internships or jobs. Because Geissen had initiated objection procedures with the IND on behalf of Advios Assurantiën BV, the Achikzei sisters could intern and work at Advios Assurantiën BV until the IND had not definitively decided to issue them work permits. Before Sahar Achikzei joined as an intern, Geissen had made it clear to Narges Achikzei that he was willing to start objection procedures against the IND on behalf of Advios Assurantiën BV and pay them a good salary, but that there were certainly disadvantages to hiring two Afghan sisters, and that he absolutely did not want any problems. Narges Achikzei then assured Geissen that they would never do anything to make him angry. Narges Achikzei said she had the highest salary in her family and that her monthly income of €1,700 was high enough to rent her own home. She also said she did not believe in God, liked pork, and never participated in Ramadan. According to Geissen, Narges Achikzei had fallen in love with him and had the ambition to go from internship contract to annual contract to marriage contract. Geissen says that Narges Achikzei made numerous advances and that he rejected her several times. "I will marry a man of my own choice later, otherwise, I will burn in hell!" and "marry an Afghan man or a rich friend!" were common statements made by Narges Achikzei in the period before her behavior towards Ralph Geissen completely changed.

Employer Ralph Geissen transfers €650 to Narges Achikzei from his private account because she had been complaining for weeks that she wanted to receive more money as she had a one-year contract for 36 hours but was working 40 hours per week. Geissen had calculated the amount and paid €650 once and then gave €150 per month in cash in an envelope. Geissen experienced the whole situation as fraud and extortion by an employee and reluctantly paid the total of €1,500 from his own bank account because the accounting firm and an investment company involved as shareholders in Advios Assurantiën BV would never have approved these extra payments.

Narges Achikzei and Haroen Mehraban report ex-employer Ralph Geissen to notorious Zeist police. Geissen is accused of stalking via email. "In April 2008, Narges Achikzei received an email from Mr. Geissen about her contract because it was due to expire on June 1st. This email stated that he could not extend the contract because he clashed with her 40-year-old Afghan husband. Narges Achikzei then called Mr. Geissen and asked what the email was about. Mr. Geissen claimed that Narges Achikzei had lied to him and was too much under the influence of her 40-year-old Afghan husband, and that a death threat had been sent via her work account on the day of her Muslim wedding while Narges Achikzei and Haroen Mehraban were not married at all. Narges Achikzei then told Mr. Geissen that he should not interfere in her private life and that he should stop sending emails. (...) Narges Achikzei and Haroen Mehraban talked about the situation with family members of Mr. Geissen when they came to collect office supplies from Narges Achikzei. Haroen Mehraban tried to talk to Mr. Geissen and asked him to stop emailing and told him that he had nothing to do with a supposed death threat. Mr. Geissen’s response was that he wanted to marry Narges Achikzei in 4 months. Narges Achikzei and Haroen Mehraban experience sleeping problems and concentration problems at school due to this entire incident and want Mr. Geissen to stop emailing."

6 February 2009

Officer Anita Frielink (ps) of the notorious Zeist police is dishonest because she lied in her official report that she called ABN AMRO about the internet scammer Narges Mehraban and that her investigation revealed they were \"completely different people\" and that Ralph Geissen admitted during the interrogation that he made a \"big blunder.\" Frielink's nasty, false claim that Geissen was guilty of defamation, slander, and insult because he wanted to marry Narges Achikzei himself has put all involved under great pressure.

No substantive response from Utrecht Police to the complaint of Ralph Geissen regarding the poor performance of officer Anita Frielink (ps) in the false defamation case of Narges Achikzei and Haroen Mehraban: 'A part of the complaint filed by Geissen relates to an issue that is being dealt with and judged in a criminal procedure. Processing that part of his complaint according to the complaints procedure of Utrecht Police would lead to an undesirable overlap with the criminal procedure, as the judgment on a criminal offense lies with the Public Prosecution Service and the judge. Therefore, Geissen should present his defense in the criminal proceedings.'

10 June 2009

Verdict of the Utrecht District Court in the case of lawyer Peter Ruijzendaal against Ralph Geissen/Advios Assurantiën BV for defamation, libel, and insult. 'On the site yelloyello.com, Geissen posted the following text on January 12, 2009: 'Mr. P.H. Ruijzendaal is accused of engaging as a lawyer in extorting businesses on behalf of a Muslim fundamentalist criminal organization. Utrecht Police is currently investigating the case; formally, Mr. P.H. Ruijzendaal is therefore a 'suspect' of complicity in attempted fraud and extortion.'

Geissen, as a major shareholder of Advios Assurantiën BV, claims around €150,000 in damages due to all the hassle surrounding Narges Achikzei’s legal extortion campaign. Narges Achikzei has previously presented herself to me as Narges Mehraban, the screenshot below says it all”.

Loedertje.nl was the site of Ralph Geissen where the series of unfair actions by Narges Achikzei, Haroen Mehraban, Peter Ruijzendaal, Anita Frielink (ps), Johan de Boer (ps), the Zeist Police, and the Public Prosecution Service were criticized. Loedertje.nl was regularly visited by civil servants. Prior to the murder attempt, Geissen went to the Binnensticht police station several times to draw attention to the ’Mehraban Affair’ and warned that the legal conflict could get terribly out of hand given all the threats the perpetrator group had made and carried out. Geissen chose to go into hiding to remain untraceable by his opponents who had threatened to kill him.

7 December 2009 16:26

Probation officer Annelies Balfoort calls Ralph Geissen to discuss the pre-sentencing report she had prepared for the criminal case. Geissen said he was dissatisfied with the pre-sentencing report and argued for changes. The report stated that his sister and mother did not support him, while this was never mentioned during the meeting that Geissen and Balfoort had at the Probation office in Utrecht. Balfoort quickly agreed with Geissen and the pre-sentencing report was amended at that point.

7 December 2009 17:30

A week before her false criminal trial against her former employer Ralph Geissen and two weeks before her forced marriage to Haroen Mehraban, Narges Achikzei is doused with gasoline and set on fire near her apartment on Laan van Vollenhove in Zeist by a murderer in front of a surveillance camera. The murderer is the sister of a friend of Haroen Mehraban.

8 December 2009

Based on visitor statistics from Loedertje.nl, Ralph Geissen discovered that something terrible had happened in Zeist. Geissen called Zeist Police and asked for confirmation whether Narges Achikzei was the woman who had been set on fire on Laan van Vollenhove in Zeist. At that time, authorities had not yet disclosed her name. After a brief silence, he was informed that Geissen would be called back. Subsequently, Geissen received a phone call confirming that it was indeed Narges Achikzei, that two team leaders had been appointed, and that Geissen could speak with two detectives the next day at a police station in Utrecht. Geissen’s name was already on a list of individuals the detectives wanted to speak with. Geissen pointed to Haroen Mehraban/Peter Ruijzendaal as being involved in the murder and urged authorities to bring the gentlemen before the court for the arson murder of Narges Achikzei.

9 December 2009

During the conversation with the detectives, Ralph Geissen was first asked to explain how he knew that Narges Achikzei was the woman who had been set on fire because her name had not yet been released by the police. Geissen stated that someone with an IP address belonging to the Medical Center Rotterdam had googled “Afghan woman Zeist” and “Narges Achikzei” and ended up on his website Loedertje.nl. Shortly thereafter, Geissen saw news reports from RTV Utrecht stating that a woman had been set on fire and killed on Laan van Vollenhove in Zeist. During the conversation with two detectives, Geissen said that in his view it was a case of honor killing. Narges Achikzei wanted to marry a man of her own choice and was in love with him, and she likely caused problems for which she was punished by her criminal family and friends. Geissen stated that Dutch people do not set women on fire and that they should look for Afghan perpetrators. The detective asked Geissen if he knew why Narges Achikzei assumed she would be prosecuted. Geissen responded that it was only a matter of time before she would be prosecuted, given all the charges filed against her. The detective noted that Geissen had tried his best to free her, which Geissen confirmed. A detective told Geissen that his 20-page report was being processed by the team. Newspaper reports also referred to this commitment. Geissen showed his phone to the detectives and stated that he had probation officer Balfoort on the phone at the time of the arson murder. A detective recognized the phone number of Probation Netherlands and said, "yes, that’s us!". It was agreed that Geissen could send emails with useful tips to Zeist Police. Geissen’s emails to Zeist police about Narges Achikzei would be forwarded to the detectives. The detective told Geissen that family members of Narges, during the detectives’ visit, waved court rulings and shouted that Ralph Geissen should pay money.

An anonymous detective involved in the investigation into the murder of Narges Achikzei said on Radio M Utrecht: "Woman victim of honor killing and because of extortion of a company". This fact was picked up and processed in similar news reports in De Telegraaf, Elsevier, and Zeister Courant.

9 December 2009

Police and the Public Prosecutor’s Office do not want to respond to questions because the case is under investigation. "Police take into account honor killing. The victim was going to get married. Earlier, the marriage would have been solemnized according to Islamic laws. That explains the unmarried cohabitation. The woman who was set on fire had been at odds with her former employer for months. Her sister, friend, and lawyer were also accused by the man in numerous publications of fraud and threats."

10 December 2009

Dingemans, appointed by the Central Netherlands Court as curator to handle the bankruptcy of Ralph Geissen and Advios Assurantien BV, which was requested by Narges Achikzei, Sahar Achikzei, Haroen Mehraban, and Peter Ruijzendaal, advised Geissen to contact RTV Utrecht journalist Bart van den Berg (PvdA). According to Bart van den Berg, curator Dingemans had told him that in his view there was "mutual affection" between Geissen and Narges Achikzei, and Bart van den Berg wanted to hear Geissen’s reaction to that. Geissen has shared his side of the story and expressed that, in his view, Narges Achikzei is very likely a victim of honor killing and because of all the trouble surrounding the fraudulent activities and extortion practices of her bad family and friends. Bart van den Berg also mentioned that RTV Utrecht had received many emails from people pointing to Geissen as the murderer.

10 December 2009

The Public Prosecutor’s Office does not want to respond to questions about the legal conflict of Narges Achikzei. The legal entanglements are being investigated by the detective team. 10 December 2009

Broadcast by RTV Utrecht featuring an anonymized friend of Narges’s mother pointing to Ralph Geissen as the likely perpetrator/mastermind of the arson murder of Narges Achikzei. At RTV Utrecht/Radio M Utrecht, the witness criticizes the police, stating that they only started working after Narges was set on fire.

10 December 2009

10 December 2009

Investigators emphasized in a personal conversation with Ralph Geissen that he absolutely must not attend the funeral of Narges Achikzei. They could not guarantee his safety there. All Afghans they had spoken to had mentioned his name. Stories spread on the internet by Narges Achikzei’s family and friends claim that Geissen, as a rejected former employer in love, ordered the arson murder because he couldn’t have Narges Achikzei, as she wanted to marry her Afghan fiancé Haroen Mehraban out of love and of her own free will. Investigators who spoke with Geissen told him that they had asked Narges Achikzei’s family and friends to cease their accusations against him on the internet.

14 December 2009

The Public Prosecutor's Office continues prosecution against Ralph Geissen as reported in the newspaper. While a possible link between the legal conflict and the arson murder is being investigated by detectives, the Public Prosecutor wants Geissen to be examined by a psychiatrist due to “stalking by email” against the burned Narges Achikzei and damaging the honor and good name of Narges Achikzei and Haroen Mehraban.

15 December 2009

Residents of Narges Achikzei express their distrust towards the notorious Zeist police and the Public Prosecution Service. No one seems to have confidence that the Zeist police and the Public Prosecution Service will handle the arson murder of the well-known Narges Achikzei neatly, conscientiously, and strictly according to laws and regulations.

"To be honest, I have no faith in the experience and approach of the Zeist police. And I don’t know if it was an honor killing, she didn’t have the best friends." "Residents claim that love troubles are the cause of the tragedy." "According to residents, the woman’s death is related to relationship problems." "When I spoke to the police about that murder, they knew about the internet fraud, but they just didn’t want to enlighten me." "I don’t believe that justice will open Pandora’s box and put this family and their clan under a magnifying glass." "It’s not for nothing that her ex-employer has done his best to prove that they are bad people!"

7 January 2010

The examining magistrate heavily criticized Ralph Geissen for sending emails to Sahar Achikzei after the arson murder and granted the request that Geissen should see a psychiatrist (=standard procedure if the charge consists of stalking, evidently also with “stalking per email”). Geissen objected to the continuation of prosecution before the examining magistrate because the plaintiff Narges Achikzei was set on fire and her family and friends falsely pointed to Geissen as the likely perpetrator/mastermind. Geissen expressed fear that the prosecution could take on a life of its own in the media and requested the examining magistrate to request the identification details from ABN AMRO of internet scammer Narges Mehraban and to terminate the false prosecution.

Crime journalist H.J. Korterink (anti-PVV) had not spoken to Ralph Geissen yet, but concluded the following based on available internet data: "To clarify: the ’employer’ would have liked to marry the Afghan Narges Achikzei (his annual contractor), but apparently the Afghan family saw no advantage in it. Now someone has been arrested for this arson murder. For the real backgrounds, we have to visit a website, which will probably go offline shortly after this message." The site Korterink refers to is Loedertje.nl, Geissen’s website about the scam and extortion practices of Narges Achikzei, Sahar Achikzei, Haroen Mehraban, Peter Ruijzendaal, Police Zeist, and the Public Prosecutor.

Geissen redirected Loedertje.nl to the search page of the investigation team.

Episode about the murder of Narges Achikzei with the following quote: “No one needs to call to point out the legal conflict that Narges Achikzei was involved in. A conflict that had nothing to do with her Islamic background.”

26 January 2010

Police publish their investigation questions on politie.nl and would like to speak with witnesses who can confirm jealousy as a motive. No one needs to point out the legal entanglements that Narges Achikzei was involved in. Regarding the most mentioned motives, politie.nl writes: “Narges is Afghan and there are people who immediately thought it might be an honor killing. But the police have no indications that this is actually the case, but they do not rule it out either. There are also rumors that her death might have to do with legal conflicts that Narges was involved in, conflicts that had nothing to do with her Islamic background.”

Arrest in the murder case, the suggestion of honor killing has been refuted by relatives and police spokesperson Thomas Aling says there are no indications of honor killing. Police are aware of the most mentioned motives of honor killing and an escalated legal conflict, but according to Aling, a very different motive is also conceivable, such as someone being jealous that Narges Achikzei was getting married.

According to Hameeteman, Geissen should not believe everything that has been said in the media. Police Zeist adheres to the decision of Police Chief Johan de Boer (ps). Geissen's report remains on the shelf and nothing is being done about it.

A look back at the infamous murder of the young beautiful student Narges Achikzei. Team leader Tijn Keuss received heavy criticism the day after the broadcast from crime journalist H.J. Korterink (anti-PVV) for his “downright drunk performance” because Keuss firmly stated that this was not an honor killing and sought the motive in the line of jealousy, while the case had never been brought to court.

13 October 2010

Complaint by Ralph Geissen against Haroen Mehraban and lawyer Peter Ruijzendaal at the Utrecht police for the murder of Narges Achikzei. Zeist brigadier Hans Hameeteman advised not to file the complaint in Zeist so that the prosecution decision would be made by another Public Prosecutor. This wish is explicitly stated in the complaint. In the complaint, Geissen says that based on his research results Maiwand Achikzei bought the motor oil, that Sahar Achikzei rang the doorbell to lure Narges Achikzei downstairs while murderer was waiting one floor below with her murder plan. The motive, according to Geissen, is honor killing, fraud, extortion, and corruption. Geissen substantiated the conclusion of the fairest TGO Gero investigator: Narges Achikzei was set on fire by the sister of a friend of her fiancé because of obstruction of a forced marriage and a failed legal extortion campaign against her former employer. The officer pointed out to Geissen the statement he attributes to Narges Achikzei "Marry Afghan man or rich friend! she wanted to know if he could prove whether Narges meant him by "rich friend". Geissen responded that Narges danced, as love-struck girls do, after saying those words and that he assumed she was in love with him. Much to Geissen’s dismay, his complaint was forwarded by the Utrecht police to the Zeist police and handled by officer Jelle van de Kraats and assessed by the same (anonymous male) Public Prosecutor who was responsible for Geissen’s years-long false criminal prosecution in 2009.

15 November 2010

Murder suspect Haroen Mehraban, who was allowed to continue living in Narges Achikzei’s apartment at Laan van Vollenhove 2175 after her murder, feels insulted because Ralph Geissen publicly stated that Narges Achikzei was a victim of honor killing and that Mehraban/Peter Ruijzendaal are the likely instigators. Haroen Mehraban therefore requests legal aid so that he and his murder-suspect lawyer Ruijzendaal can file a civil lawsuit against Narges Achikzei’s harassed former employer Geissen again. They also demand money. Both Ruijzendaal and Mehraban demand immediate payment of €5,000 each from the Utrecht judge as an advance on the imposed penalties for defamation. Against their wishes, Geissen did not appear at the hearing because he did not want to face the murder suspects who falsely present themselves as pitiable victims for the umpteenth time.

8 December 2010

Murder suspect Haroen Mehraban would prefer to set the murderer on fire himself. The court cut off the fiancé after he threatened the suspect with burning. The suspect has twice stated that she was not in love with Mehraban or jealous of Narges Achikzei as falsely claimed by the Public Prosecutor in court. According to her lawyer Willem Jan Ausma, the jealousy argument by the Public Prosecutor is not substantiated and there must be something else at play. The prosecutor claims that Narges Achikzei was murdered out of jealousy. "Someone didn’t want Narges to marry." Ausma had advised his client to remain silent about her motive and said that staying in the psychiatric clinic would be better for her. Ausma presented an alternative scenario "for the stage." According to Ausma, it is quite possible that his client has a multiple personality disorder, and he found an expert who spoke several times with the suspect and made a research report stating that it is quite possible that the suspect has a multiple personality disorder. Ausma states that his client wants to be treated in a psychiatric clinic as soon as possible.

8 December 2010

Public Prosecutor Rob van Noort stated in court that Narges Achikzei was single. On paper, Narges Achikzei was single to obtain subsidies from the Legal Aid Council to file civil lawsuits against Ralph Geissen. In practice, Narges Achikzei and Haroen Mehraban had been living together for a long time before Narges Achikzei was set on fire. Public Prosecutor Rob van Noort declared in court: "Single Narges was going to marry and then live together." and "For a while, Narges had been living alone in an apartment on the twelfth floor of a flat in Zeist. On December 20, she was going to get married, after which her husband would move in with her." Not a word was said about the most cited motives for the murder of Narges Achikzei, which were honor killing and a legal conflict. Rob van Noort stated that it was highly unlikely that the murderer committed this murder alone. He wondered aloud who had rung Narges’s doorbell to lure her downstairs. RTV Utrecht followed lawyer Willem Jan Ausma in this court case (first report)

8 December 2010

Default judgment from Utrecht court regarding Haroen Mehraban and Peter Ruijzendaal against Ralph Geissen, again after summary investigation: “3.1. prohibits Geissen from sending emails, publishing articles on the internet, and making statements to third parties in which he accuses the plaintiffs of crimes and causes them damage;3.2. orders the defendant to remove within one week of this judgment being served, the messages and images already published by (or on behalf of) him on various internet forums and websites about and of the plaintiffs.”

8 December 2010

Mark Lauriks (PvdA), working as a senior advisor at the Ministry of Justice says on Twitter: “Afghan then. Many cases are called ’honor killings’, but they are not at all. I know this case a little. I no longer quickly get sad from intense criminal cases, but this is a very gruesome end. I have handled 2 real honor killing cases (murder), but those are real rarities… And honor killing is not Islam either, also a misunderstanding.”

No substantive response from police leadership to Geissen’s complaint about unfair police conduct. However, this complaint handler, unlike Detective MDNDR003 and previously Anita Frielink (ps), acknowledged the entry of Ralph Geissen against Narges Achikzei in the police systems: “08-146199: This is not a report but an entry. This means that what he reported is known to the police but it does not lead to criminal prosecution. 09-192579: This is a report which the public prosecutor has decided not to investigate/prosecute criminally. Geissen has been informed of this in writing by the Public Prosecutor’s Office. 2010247778: This is indeed a report. The (anonymous male) Public Prosecutor will consider whether to take it into consideration.”

Murder of Narges Achikzei: "There is no motive." The Public Prosecutor states in his plea that it was up to the murderer to provide more insight, but she did not. "There is no explanation, no diminished responsibility, no treatment advice, no assessment of the likelihood of recurrence. The victim was burned alive. Can it get any worse?"

13 May 2011

Contrary voice Harro Kras in the Magazine MR: "The investigation team continued to critically review all scenarios." and "Sometimes the pressure from the public and media promotes the chance of tunnel vision, says Harro Kras of the Utrecht police. He cites as an example the investigation into the murder of a 23-year-old Afghan woman from Zeist. She died in December 2009 after being set on fire. Honor killing was considered. "The media were all over it. Experts were queuing up to give their views on this so-called honor killing. Meanwhile, a suspect woman from the circle of friends is on trial for this murder, where the motive of honor killing clearly is not relevant. The case demonstrates the strength of the investigation team."

Ralph Geissen requests the Chief Prosecutor to involve the National Criminal Investigation Department due to the dubious roles played by officers Anita Frielink (ps), Johan de Boer (ps), Jelle van de Kraats, Hans Hameeteman, and others in the "Mehraban Affair" and subsequently in the cover-up of honor killing."

19 March 2012

Ralph Geissen shares his negative opinion about the Zeist police and Public Prosecution Service with the court in his defense: "Police and justice are very deceitful" and "The date of birth of Narges Achikzei and Narges Mehraban is identical. It is not unlawful to link Narges Achikzei to "Mrs. N. Mehraban" because I knew that Narges Achikzei and Haroen Mehraban were informally married to each other and because Narges Achikzei presented herself to me as Narges Mehraban."

2 April 2012

Police chief Zeist Johan de Boer (ps) once again refuses to request identifying data for Narges Mehraban from ABN AMRO. He believes that Ralph Geissen should direct his request for identifying data from ABN AMRO to the court instead of to the Zeist police or the 25-man investigation team.

6 September 2012

According to journalist Bart van den Berg (PvdA) from RTV Utrecht, the reason for Narges’s murder has not been disclosed. "The murderer claims to remember nothing from that evening, and psychologists who examined her actually don’t know. They have determined that she had depression, but that’s not grounds for murder." Riks Ozinga further reveals that the police sent the gruesome surveillance footage of the murder of Narges Achikzei to RTV Utrecht.

5 November 2012

The Public Prosecution Service refuses impartial fact-finding by the National Criminal Investigation Department. Chief Public Prosecutor Johan Bac sees no concrete leads that could justify involving the National Criminal Investigation Department in a fact-finding investigation into the murder in Zeist. Due to Ralph Geissen pointing fingers at corrupt police officers such as Anita Frielink (ps) and Johan de Boer (ps), Johan Bac decides not to process Geissen’s letter on that point. Because it concerns the same set of facts, the same (anonymous male) Public Prosecutor responsible for Geissen’s false prosecution must also assess whether Haroen Mehraban/Peter Ruijzendaal should be prosecuted by the Public Prosecution Service.

28 January 2013

The Public Prosecution Service dismisses all false accusations by Narges Achikzei, Haroen Mehraban, Peter Ruijzendaal, and Anita Frielink (ps) against Ralph Geissen conditionally, with a probationary period of 2 years. Handling of disciplinary complaint by Ralph Geissen against lawyer Peter Ruijzendaal regarding accusations of involvement in murder and his desire to suspend Ruijzendaal from duty during the police investigation due to the nature of the accusation concerning any involvement in the murder of his client Narges Achikzei. According to Ruijzendaal, Tijn Keuss told him that he had received multiple emails from Geissen, adding that according to Ruijzendaal, Geissen is obstructing the criminal investigation with his online publications. The Disciplinary Board was curious about the results of the investigation due to Geissen’s complaint against Ruijzendaal/Haroen Mehraban, but refused to suspend Ruijzendaal during that investigation.

14 August 2013

Verdict in the appeal case of murder of Narges Achikzei: "From the CCTV footage of the apartment, it appears that the murderer was in the vicinity of the apartment where Narges Achikzei lived, and the L-flat, where the victim’s parents lived, about an hour before committing the act. She entered the apartment, which she left shortly after and then returned, taking the elevator upstairs. (...) A motive is still unclear, although there are some indications in the dossier that the suspect may have been jealous of Narges Achikzei."

1 October 2014

The Court of Arnhem-Leeuwarden refuses to prosecute Haroen Mehraban/Peter Ruijzendaal as instigators for the arson murder of Narges Achikzei. In their view, Ralph Geissen is not even a party harmed in the murder case of his ex-employee: "Complainant claims, incidentally on completely speculative grounds, that said murder would have been plotted by, among others, Haroen Mehraban and Peter Ruijzendaal, attorney in Zeist. The complaint, with its annexes, does not show any relevant interest of the complainant. From the foregoing it follows that the complaint is manifestly inadmissible. Therefore, questioning of the persons concerned can be omitted.”

3 January 2016

Crime journalist Martin Kok believes the story of Ralph Geissen and posts his criticism of the poor performance of the police on his site, so everyone can read Geissen’s version of how it went. Martin Kok: "I received an email from a former suspect in a murder case who is now putting a lot of effort into getting to the bottom of things. Ralph Geissen is someone who doesn’t easily give up. He sees a conspiracy in this case".

Wilfred Janmaat from the National Expertise Center (NEC) on Honor-Related Violence responds to the criticism of Ralph Geissen. He confirms that the NEC on HRV advised the police in the murder of Narges Achikzei and wants to convey to Geissen that in that investigation, multiple scenarios, including honor-related violence, were considered. According to Janmaat, the cultural interpretation of a motive is complex. Sometimes cases may seem to a person who does not have all the information as clear cases of honor violence, but that is not always confirmed in an investigation that considers all information. Janmaat states that the local police have already answered all of Geissen’s questions and that he himself will not respond to Geissen’s emails in the future."

Anita Frielink (ps) filed a complaint against Ralph Geissen for insult. The following passage is from her complaint: "Shortly after the suspect was heard, he posted an article on the internet about me, claiming that I was corrupt. Not only me, but the entire police force of Zeist was said to be corrupt. He posted this on his own website, expiratieweb.nl. It was a public site. (…) Afterwards, Ralph Geissen started a smear campaign against the police and against me. He says that I am a corrupt police officer who twisted the truth and would be indirectly responsible for the murder of Narges Achikzei." (...) I find it extremely insulting and offensive that the suspect portrays me in the media this way with a photo he took from my Facebook. I experience it as a very serious and severe invasion of my privacy and it also damages my reputation as an officer. Anyone who Googles my name sees and reads this. Mr. Geissen spreads great lies and insults about me.

Journalist H.J. Korterink (anti-PVV) publishes a timeline by Ralph Geissen about the Zeist arson murder: "Ralph Geissen, the former employer of Narges, who was quite in love with her, sees a conspiracy involving honor revenge. That Narges actually did not want to marry the man she was supposed to marry. He has been involved in this for years. He blames me for not agreeing with him and has, among other things, tried to file a complaint against me with the Council for Journalism. Everyone is free to have and express an opinion, but what I find problematic in his case is that he – in my opinion wrongly – accuses various people involved. He has now created a timeline. On the second page, he calls Narges ‘a fraud’. There is more that, in my opinion, is unacceptable, but let everyone judge for themselves. See here: "

Since Johan de Boer (ps) retired, his successor Nick Schellings has filed a complaint against Ralph Geissen on behalf of the Zeist police. Nick Schellings supports his subordinate Anita Frielink (ps) and states: "As team leader, I have taken note of the insult/slander/defamation against various police officers and the Zeist police. Following the investigation into the death of a woman on Laan van Vollenhove in Zeist, various police officers have regularly (hundreds of) emails from the email account GEISSEN@gmail.com from 2010 to present. GEISSEN@gmail.com made disparaging, insulting remarks about the mentioned police investigation, the police, especially the Zeist police, and various specifically named police officers. (…) On January 6, 2017, another email was sent to a police officer’s work account. I have seen/read that the Zeist police were collectively described as corrupt. On May 9, 2017, another email was sent from the email account GEISSEN@gmail.com. I have seen/read that it talks about Zeist police in combination with corrupt colleagues, the Binnensticht station as the most notorious police station in the Netherlands, and corrupt Zeist police."

7 July 2017

Ralph Geissen brings crime journalist H.J. Korterink (anti-PVV) before the Council for Journalism because he wrongly labeled Geissen as a conspiracy theorist in the publication of the timeline about the murder of Narges Achikzei, while Geissen sees himself as an honest whistleblower. In his first publication, Korterink falsely pointed to Geissen as a possible perpetrator. According to Korterink, there is no case of defamation and threats against Geissen, and he himself is the one guilty of defamation against lawyer Peter Ruijzendaal and fiancé Haroen Mehraban. Korterink emails Geissen that he is confused, comes across as obsessive, obsessed, was in love with Narges, and shows signs of a fanciful psychiatric patient. After persistent insistence, Korterink has removed 50% of the defamation and threats against Geissen from his site. He expressly reserves the right to use "the story of Narges’ family and friends for new publications in the future." Korterink is the only journalist who insists that Narges is a victim of a jealous love rival. He believes that motive and logic are lacking in Geissen’s proposed scenario. He sees no evidence of family honor that needs to be avenged through arson on the beautiful Narges. However, Korterink defended Geissen’s right to freedom of speech on his site, responding to criticism from a visitor with "Everyone must draw their own conclusions, the fact is that Ralph is very involved in these matters." The Council for Journalism decided that Korterink acted carefully and that Geissen can be called a conspiracy theorist because he points to a conspiracy with honor killing in the Zeist arson case. Geissen subsequently asked the Council for Journalism to anonymize their judgment, which they did. Korterink had censored several messages from Geissen under the news article.

4 August 2017

The Public Prosecution Service rejects all requests from Ralph Geissen and refuses to respond substantively to all accusations: “The Public Prosecution Service infers from Geissen’s messages that he has filed a complaint with the Council for Journalism about a journalist. He argues that the outcome of the complaint procedure at the Council for Journalism could be very negative for the police (more specifically the Zeist police) and the Public Prosecution Service. Geissen claims that the murder of Mrs. Narges Achikzei was not the work of one person, but that there was a group of perpetrators and honor killing.”

11 September 2017

At the request of Ralph Geissen, BNN VARA will not broadcast the episode about the murder of Narges in the series "The Family Detective" by documentary maker Jessica Villerius, in which family detectives Erik van den Bos and Saskia from notorious Zeist police tell their fabricated stories about Narges Achikzei.

Response to invitation from the police to Ralph Geissen for arrest and interrogation regarding insult of public official in function Anita Frielink (ps): "My lament about police and justice is known to everyone. It has been legally proven that police and justice have been incredibly wrong with Narges Achikzei. Everyone must live with my criticism. A neighbor, who only knows Narges Achikzei from passing by and witnessing the attack while standing behind the blue screens, has contacted Ralph Geissen. According to the neighbor, the murderer is not crazy, and arson or throwing acid (to disfigure for life) is quite normal in honour killings. The neighbor trusts very much that Geissen’s story is the truth and finds it very strong of him that he, despite all threats, has told his story. She finds it strange that others do not believe or understand his story and finds it very painful for her trust in the police. "Weak sauce. Anyway, it’s a hotbed there," she writes.

Bos: "Ralph Geissen requested at this hearing to refer his criminal case to the multiple-judge chamber and to obtain data from the ABN-AMRO bank. The request to refer to the multiple-judge chamber was rejected by the police judge with the reasoning that she has read Geissen’s defense and the case file thoroughly and deems referral unnecessary."

Chief Inspector Ewald Riks of the Inspection of Justice and Security, the supervisor of the Zeist police, informs Ralph Geissen that he sees no reason to conduct an investigation following his report because the Inspection has not found any signals that could indicate a structural problem in law enforcement. The Inspection announces that it will no longer respond to requests from Geissen in the future. However, the Inspection will include the information sent by Geissen in a risk analysis, which forms the basis for an annually established work program.

Ralph Geissen anonymizes/blurs the face of team leader Tijn Keuss due to a compelling request from Youtube. In the infamous broadcast, Tijn Keuss says: “For the time being, it seems that there was jealousy because Narges was about to get married shortly after and because Narges led a very happy life, and we look for the motive along those lines. In the media, it is suggested that Narges is a victim of honor killing. A completely unjustified suggestion. There is simply no honor killing involved. The family has nothing to do with it. Why I emphasize this is because it is also very unpleasant for the family members. It is just tough that the community looks at you like that, that the environment looks at you like that. While you are in immense sorrow. So in that respect, you can simply rule out honor killing.”

Sergeant MDNDR003 was allowed to conduct anonymous investigation in the defamation case of his colleague Anita Frielink (ps) against Ralph Geissen. Anonymously, it is easier to accuse an honest whistleblower in an honor killing cover-up affair of being mentally disturbed and stitching up a story. The timeline of this sergeant is incomplete and full of lies, but was nevertheless later 1 on 1 adopted by judges in the condemning judgment because they believe the sergeant MDNDR003’s lying story and not Geissen’s truthful story.

Posh Productions by Jessica Villerius will, at the request of Ralph Geissen, remove all references to the episode of family investigators Erik van den Bos and Saskia about the murder of Narges Achikzei from her site because the relevant episode of the series “The Family Investigator” was never actually broadcast by BNN VARA.

The lawyer of the murderer, Willem Jan Ausma, makes a number of strange statements about the murder of Narges Achikzei in an interview in a magazine. Ausma: "A woman with an Afghan background, who was about to get married, was doused with gasoline and set on fire. Another woman with an Afghan background was arrested and convicted for this, and everything pointed to her having done it. But both the impact on the relatives, the senselessness of it, and the suspect’s lack of understanding of the impact it could have, including on herself, made an impression. She was ultimately also given TBS because she apparently had no idea what she had done and why. That a person can actually get so far from themselves, capable of things that you can’t comprehend with your healthy mind. That was also a case where I say: you shouldn’t just let someone like that back on the street, they also have a very traumatic experience to process."

A Turkologist/Arabist and D66 voter connected to a university who had written several books about honor killings asked a number of questions to Ralph Geissen about the murder of Narges Achikzei. After all the questions were answered, the Turkologist concluded remarkably enough that the honor killing experts employed by the police and investigators had done a good job and that Narges Achikzei was not a victim of honor killing at all. Geissen then warned that he would become his lifelong enemy if he ever published that Narges Achikzei was not a victim of honor killing. The Turkologist agreed with Geissen that the police could not substantiate jealousy as a motive.

An interview with lawyer Willem Jan Ausma is published on fd.nl. Ausma: "My advice in such cases was often: keep your mouth shut, because talking gets you in trouble. Meanwhile, I would come up with an alternative scenario, such as stalling the trial with legal tricks and calling all sorts of witnesses. All for show. I wouldn’t do that anymore."

"Ralph Geissen responds -in a businesslike manner- as follows: I find it very bad that he (=Johan de Boer (ps)) interfered in a murder investigation of Narges Achikzei of which he knows the suspect (=Peter Ruijzendaal). He does not understand that what he is doing is not acceptable. He has interfered tangentially, and the dossier states what he has done." Geissen’s lawyer argues that it is wrongly judged that Geissen did not express his criticism sufficiently or too late and not publicly, and that Geissen with his statements wanted to serve a higher purpose, because he is convinced that the murderer has been placed in a TBS clinic based on completely fabricated stories. They are sharp and far-reaching statements, but they were not devoid of any basis.

Attorney-General at the Supreme Court of the Netherlands Paul Frielink: "Ralph Geissen would have had a crush on Narges Achikzei, but that love was not reciprocated." The Supreme Court of the Netherlands refuses to respond substantively to Geissen’s criticism and his counsel on the convicting judgment of the Court of Appeal Arnhem-Leeuwarden and refused to annul the false conviction of the honest whistleblower, allowing police chief Johan de Boer (ps) and Anita Frielink (ps) et al. to continue their careers at the notorious Zeist police.

Staff member of human rights organization Amnesty International compliments Ralph Geissen for his efforts in the case of the murderer of Narges Achikzei. Geissen argues that the murderer has been placed in a psychiatric clinic for a long time based on completely fabricated stories from notorious officers, and that she is falling apart there.

A journalist states that everyone in Zeist remembers Narges Achikzei as a victim of honor killing because she wanted to marry a man of her own choice and was brutally murdered by the sister of a friend of Haroen Mehraban shortly before her forced civil marriage, and that the police struggle with handling complex honor-related murder cases correctly.
