Perpetrator: her ex-boyfriend Mehmet Ö. (45 years)
Mehmet Ö. is an unemployed hairdresser and musician in Berlin. His girlfriend Nura is from Bulgaria and has a daughter who probably lives in Bulgaria and only came to Germany shortly before the crime.
In the summer of 2011, Nura is getting a divorce. Mehmet threatens her with death if she does not return to him. Nura sues him. The trial for attempted coercion will be held in February 2013.
In January, Nura and her sister open a bakery (or snack bar) in Berlin-Neukölln. Mehmet is lurking in front of the shop.
In the morning of 16 January 2013 he shoots his ex-girlfriend in the head several times. He also shoots her sister Gülten. She dies after an emergency operation in the hospital. It is unclear whether Nura's daughter witnessed the crime. Mehmet was arrested outside the shop.
