In the summer of 2014, Ugur is said to be trained as a terrorist in Syria, but will return to Mönchengladbach at the end of September. He belongs to the circle of the Salafist preacher Sven Lau.
According to the Islamic rite, Ugur is married to three women. One of them has a son from a previous relationship who is 11 years old at the trial. She is highly pregnant. Ugur (who is probably the father) threatens to cut the child out of her stomach several times. She flees to the women's shelter, but returns.
In June 2015 Ugur wants to settle in Turkey, but is arrested at Düsseldorf airport.
In March 2016 the trial before the court of Düsseldorf will begin. The charges are: terrorist support, violence, coercion, deprivation of liberty and ill-treatment of those under protection. Ugur grins as he reads the indictment.
In some circumstances the three "women" are also Islamists. It is unclear why the youth office doesn't take the son out of the family despite the brutal violence.
This may not be a real attempt at honour killings. Maybe it is "only" a radical sadistic islamist from Düsseldorf who abuses his girlfriend.
The court cannot answer the question either. Because the woman refuses to press charges in black clothing that completely covers her body. She also forbids her son to testify. In May 2016 the regional court sentences Ügur to 2 years and 9 months imprisonment. In the court the alleged stay in Syria turned out to be a "rumor".
