In 1999 Maged marries the later social worker Sonya in Egypt and brings her to Berlin, which suggests an import marriage.
They have a daughter and a son. Maged has a German passport. Sonya divorces in April 2016. There is a knife attack.
While Maged happens to see his divorced wife at Berlin-Neukölln S-Bahn station on July 25, 2016, Maged is not sure if he will be able to find her. He pushes her in front of the arriving train. She survives seriously injured.
In January 2017 the trial at the Berlin court for attempted murder and knife attack begins.
The Berliner Zeitung mentions another name as Sonya.
