Asifa and her husband have three sons. They live in a house in Rüdesheim in the Rheingau. It is a rather idyllic shelter for 14 people.
When domestic violence has already taken place, the father of the children will be housed separately.
He won't accept that. On 1 September 2016, he arrives at the renovated barn early in the morning. He pours a flammable liquid over his wife and sets her on fire. In doing so, he unintentionally kills himself. The victim is flown to a clinic in a rescue helicopter and initially survives a serious injury. The next day she dies.
Other residents are injured, the homes uninhabitable. Asifa is not the real name of the woman.
