Esra and Ismail are married and have one son. The woman has a German passport and works as a hairdresser. She divorces, Ismail won't accept this.
At least twice before the deed, there is a threat situation, once at the end of 2015 and about a week before the deed. The police are called. Ismail is forbidden to return to his home. Esra rejects offers of help.
On 18 October 2016, Ismail comes to the barbershop where his wife works. He shoots at her, but doesn't hit her at first. Clients and hairdressers walk the streets. Then he shoots his wife in the head. Then he shoots himself. The perpetrator dies, Esra goes to intensive care and survives. The boy goes to the grandparents.
