Salam S.
born: 1982
shot dead: 14 May 2017
Place of residence: Munich-Fürstenried
Origin: Iraq / Kurds
Children: 1 son (at act 6 y.)
Perpetrator: 2 brothers and 1 nephew (51, 45, 43 y.)
Salam comes to Germany from Iraq in 2002 and later receives a German passport. He has a company that fills supermarket shelves, and lives in Munich with a Russian (at act 39 y.). The two have been a couple for 10 years and have a 6-year-old son.

On May 14, 2017, 3 men shoot Salam in his apartment. He must have let them in voluntarily, they knew each other. The day after the crime, a fire is set in the apartment. Salam's wife and son are on vacation.

Two weeks later 3 Iraqi Kurds are arrested, 2 of whom have a criminal record: A 51-year-old who claims to be a "businessman" and who has been in Germany since 2000. His 45-year-old brother, who works as a hairdresser and came 2 years earlier. In addition a 43-year-old casual worker, probably a nephew, who has been in Germany since 2002 and is caught one day later in Reutlingen.

The motive is assumed to be an affair between the victim and the wife of the "businessman". She is clearly younger than him. The number of children is unclear. The act was intended to restore the family honour.

In July 2018, the trial for communal murder and serious arson against Hikmat A., whose profession has been declared as doner kebab owner, begins. Motive is the affair of his wife Tschiman Y.. She in turn is related to the victim (her lover), they are cousins. The other defendants are Askar H. and Jerjis S. In the same month each of the three is sentenced to life imprisonment. The particular severity of the guilt is determined for all of them.
