The perpetrator who set fire to a 23-year-old woman from Zeist in a Geroflat porch on 7 December 2009 may be a woman. The police conclude that this is the result of an investigation. The suspect would have been 1.60 long, dark hair as well as possible burns. The police do not rule out the possibility that the woman has had help from a third person. On Monday, 7 December 2009, the police received a notification of a fire in a porch on the Laan van Vollenhove at around 5.30 pm. Aid workers arrived at the scene and found the 23-year-old Negres seriously burnt. She was transported to the hospital with serious injuries, where she died later. Although it was suggested that this was a matter of honour killings, the police did not make any further announcements about the motive.
